1. What is the Ripae Visa® Prepaid Card?
Ripae has partnered with Visa to add a new layer of convenience for cardholders. When you have a Ripae Visa Prepaid Card, managing your money can be as easy as picking up your groceries. You can deposit money electronically and withdraw at any Visa ReadyLink ATM Globally. (1)(5)
2. Is the Ripae Visa Prepaid Card a Credit Card?
No. It draws from the funds that you currently have available in your Ripae Visa Prepaid Card.

Yes, $4.95 per month
3. Does the Ripae Visa Prepaid Card offer a rewards program?
Yes. As a cardholder, you can earn a $20.00 credit for every friend you refer (3)(5)(9). We’ve made it as simple as your friends accepting your invite and once they order their Ripae Visa Prepaid Card(10), and have two direct deposits(8) loaded, Ripae will issue a $20.00 credit to your card. *Within 7 days of confirmation the $20 credit reward will sent be to your card.

7. Will I receive a statement?
Yes. You can review your current balance free of charge(5) by visiting the website provided on the back of the Card. In addition, you can call the Cardholder Services number listed on the back of the Card to receive balance and transaction information. You can also download a PDF statement by logging into your account at www.ripaevisacard.com(1).
9. May I use my Ripae Visa Prepaid Card to rent a car, obtain a hotel room, or purchase an airline ticket?
Yes. However, you should be aware that some restaurants, hotels, car rental purchases, hair/personal service salons, telecommunications, cruise lines, mail order, direct marketing, and other service-related merchants will factor in an additional 20% (or more) in pre-approval ONLY to cover any tip you may leave on the purchase - you only pay the amount you sign for at the end which could be more or less. This means you need to have an available balance on your Card of at least 20% more than your total bill. If your total purchase after adding in the additional 20% (or more) exceeds the balance on the Prepaid Card, it will be declined. If you think this will happen, inform the merchant in advance about how much to deduct from your Ripae Prepaid Visa Card for partial payment and which second payment method (credit card, debit card, cash or cheque) you want to use to cover the difference. Check with these companies about the details of their policy.
10. What is the preferred way to purchase gas with my Ripae Visa Prepaid Card?
The preferred way is to prepay the station attendant for the amount of gas you would like to purchase. If you pay at the pump, a "hold" ($99) will generally be placed on your account to ensure that you have a large enough balance to cover the total amount of gas you might purchase. The "hold" ($99) is a predetermined amount. If the balance in your Ripae account is not sufficient to cover the "hold" amount, your transaction may be declined. In addition, you will not have access to the held funds until the final transaction posts to your account.
14. My contact information (ie. address, phone number or e-mail) has changed. How do I update it?
Call Customer Service at 833-263-2831 and an agent will be happy to assist you. It is important that you keep your contact information current in case we need to mail you a replacement card for a fee, or important information about your account.
11. Why are some transactions marked preauthorized?
Sometimes your transactions are authorized but not yet processed (Please also refer to card holder terms and conditions). This means you have agreed to make the payment, but the merchant has not yet completed the transaction to transfer the funds.
12. What happens if I need to return an item?
Each merchant location has its own return policies and will handle returns in the same manner as any other Visa transaction. They may credit your Ripae Visa Prepaid Card, provide a cash refund, or provide a store credit. The debit transaction for the item being returned must be posted to your account before the return credit can be accepted.
8. What happens if my Ripae Visa Prepaid Card is lost or stolen?
Once you have notified us via a phone call to customer service, your Card may be replaced, subject to our verification of your request and a replacement fee. Contact “Card Service” at 1-833-263-2831 if you believe your Card has been lost or stolen. Calling is the best way to minimize your possible losses. If you believe your Card has been lost or stolen, or that someone has transferred or may transfer money from your Card without your permission, call Card Service immediately.
